Product Overview

The dryer dust collector is a newly developed product specifically designed for flue gas dust collection from dryers with specifications such as Φ1.5×12m, Φ1.5×15m, Φ2.2×12m, Φ2.4×16m, and others. This product adopts the new technology of fiber bag dust collection for vertical kilns, which won a Ministerial Scientific and Technological Progress Award. It features microcomputer-controlled compartment reverse-air blowing, timed/resistance-based cleaning, and temperature detection display, enabling the fiber glass bag dust collector to operate efficiently and stably in dryer flue gas dust collection. The emission concentration at the chimney outlet is lower than the national standard of 150 mg/m³n (actually guaranteed to be ≤100 mg/m³n). This equipment allows compartment bag replacement without shutting down the system, offers simple operation, and is safe and reliable. It is suitable for vertical kilns, silicon-iron furnaces, industrial electric furnaces, and has low operating costs. It is currently the ideal equipment for dryer flue gas dust collection in China.

Operating Characteristics

Baghouse dust collectors are widely recognized for their stable and reliable operation, simple maintenance, and safety. They can achieve a dust collection efficiency of up to 99% for dust-laden gas with particles as small as 0.1 microns. When selecting a baghouse dust collector for dryer exhaust gas treatment, there is no need to worry about emission concentration exceeding standards. The dryer anti-condensation fiber glass bag dust collector is currently the ideal dust purification equipment.

The dryer dust collection equipment uses microcomputer control, compartment reverse-air blowing, timed cleaning, and is equipped with temperature detection display and over-temperature alarm devices. It uses CW300-FcA anti-condensation fiber glass filter bags, which effectively prevent bag condensation and will not burn the filter bags. For a Φ3×24m slag dryer, the two-stage dust collection process was replaced with a single-stage LFEF7×358-HSY/H anti-condensation baghouse dust collector. According to environmental protection department testing, the exhaust gas volume was 42,621 standard cubic meters per hour, the inlet dust concentration was 69,620 mg per standard cubic meter, and the outlet dust concentration was 147 mg per standard cubic meter, meeting national emission standards.

Special Design Considerations

The dryer dust collector is specifically designed to treat exhaust gas from dryer equipment. The dryer uses a front-end hot blast stove to blow hot air into the dryer for tumbling drying. Since the hot blast stove uses coal combustion, the exhaust gas contains large amounts of SO₂ and water vapor, making it prone to condensation and highly corrosive. Under high-temperature, oxygen-rich conditions, highly corrosive H₂SO₃ is also easily generated. Therefore, dryer exhaust gas treatment has always been a serious problem in production. When treating such gases, special attention must be paid to the above characteristics.

In response to these operating conditions, our company has specially treated the dust collector as follows:

  • The standard 325 steel tube sheet is replaced with stainless steel

  • The filter bags are made of high-temperature resistant, anti-corrosion treated FMS (Fiberglass-Mineral-Stainless) fabric

  • The bag cages are treated with silicone coating (or made of stainless steel)

  • The interior of the dust collector is coated with three layers of epoxy polyester anti-corrosion paint

  • The exterior is insulated with 100mm thick lightweight rock wool and color steel panels

After these improvements, the dust collector can fully meet the operating conditions of dryers.

Applications

The dryer dust collection equipment is suitable for purifying dust-laden gas and recovering dust materials in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, feed, metallurgy, building materials, cement, machinery, chemicals, power, and light industry.

Performance in Use

Under normal cleaning conditions, the remaining attached ash layer remains stable, meaning the resistance before and after cleaning is essentially consistent. This overcomes the problem of increasing resistance over time associated with the remaining attached ash layer in round bag reverse-air cleaning. The combination of air shut-off and impact vibration represents an optimized cleaning method, resulting in high cleaning efficiency.

For a round filter bag using reverse-air cleaning, the weight of the remaining attached ash layer is 10 to 20 times greater than the average dust accumulation during one filtration cycle. In contrast, for a flat fiber glass bag using vibration cleaning, the weight of the remaining attached ash layer is less than one-third (and at most only one times) the average dust accumulation during one filtration cycle.
