Product Overview

A demagnetizer is a specialized device used to eliminate residual magnetism from ferromagnetic materials. After processes such as magnetic separation, lifting, or machining, ferromagnetic workpieces or materials often retain a certain level of magnetism (residual magnetism), which can affect subsequent processes or product quality. The demagnetizer generates an alternating decaying magnetic field that repeatedly magnetizes the material, gradually reducing the residual magnetism to near zero. It is widely used in mining, metallurgy, machinery manufacturing, bearing processing, coal mining, building materials, and other industries.

Core Advantages

  • Thorough Demagnetization: Uses alternating decaying magnetic field technology — residual magnetism after demagnetization is extremely low — meets process requirements

  • Wide Application Range: Can process lump, granular, powder materials and various ferromagnetic workpieces

  • Multiple Configurations: Available in through-type, flat-plate type, coil type, and other structures to suit different material forms

  • Simple Operation: One-button start — automatic demagnetization cycle

  • Energy-Efficient & Durable: Optimized electromagnetic design — low energy consumption — suitable for long-term continuous operation

  • Non-Destructive Demagnetization: Demagnetization process does not damage workpiece surfaces or internal structures

Working Principle

The demagnetizer generates an alternating magnetic field with gradually decaying intensity. When a ferromagnetic material passes through or is placed in this magnetic field, its internal magnetic domains are repeatedly magnetized. As the magnetic field intensity gradually decreases to zero, the residual magnetism of the material is eliminated.

Typical Applications

  • Mineral Processing: Demagnetization of magnetic concentrates and tailings — facilitates subsequent dewatering and conveying

  • Machining: Demagnetization of machined parts such as bearings, gears, cutting tools, etc.

  • Mining Conveying: Demagnetization of iron pieces in coal streams — prevents interference with metal detector operation

  • Lifting Operations: Demagnetization of workpieces after lifting with electromagnetic chucks — facilitates unloading

  • Ceramics & Building Materials: Demagnetization of powder materials after iron removal — prevents secondary agglomeration
