The river sand dry separator breaks away from the traditional design principle of drum magnetic separators. It adopts an open-type oscillating composite magnetic system, which enhances the magnetic flipping intensity and speed during the separation process, improving separation efficiency. This is a newly developed magnetic separation equipment in recent years, truly achieving the benefits of no water consumption, no pollution, no agglomeration, clean separation, low tailings discharge, high concentrate grade, and low cost.
The material to be separated is evenly fed to the upper part of the separation drum by a vibrating feeder. The rotating drum throws non-magnetic materials away, while magnetic materials are attracted to the drum surface by the strong magnetic field force. A splitter plate is used to conveniently separate magnetic and non-magnetic materials. For applications such as low-grade magnetite, river sand, and steel slag, the primary separation removes excess tailings, enriching the grade of low-grade ores. Dry magnetic separators require the material to be dry, with particles able to move freely and independently; otherwise, the separation effect may be affected, or separation may even become impossible.
Energy Saving: Only a small amount of electrical energy is consumed during equipment operation. No excitation current is required, resulting in low operating costs.
Environmentally Friendly: Dry magnetic separation saves water resources and produces no secondary pollution.
Durable: The magnetic system is protected by the drum and does not come into direct contact with the material, making it easy to protect the magnets.
Efficient: The open-type magnetic system design provides high material processing capacity with no clogging. The purification effect is good, achieving a high concentrate grade after magnetic separation while leaving minimal tailings.
Reasonable Design: The dynamic magnetic system causes magnetic minerals to slide and tumble on the drum surface, which cleans the drum surface. The drum does not stick to material, which benefits the magnetic separation process and improves the concentrate grade.
The river sand dry separator has strong adaptability to various operating environments and is increasingly favored by customers.
The magnetic system of the river sand dry separator is made entirely of high-performance rare earth neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) materials and ferrite materials. Through an ingenious open-type magnetic circuit design, the magnetic induction intensity in the separation zone on the drum surface reaches over 0.8T. The magnetic field intensity is 3–5 times that of conventional medium-intensity magnetic separators, and the magnetic force in the separation zone can reach the level of electromagnetic high-intensity magnetic separators.
