The LEP series electronically controlled permanent lifting electromagnet is a new generation product developed by our company based on the introduction of advanced foreign technology, utilizing high-tech permanent magnetic materials. Power is applied only for an instant during the pick-up and release of materials. During the lifting and transportation process, the magnetic material itself maintains the holding force. Theoretically, this holding period is infinite, making it extremely safe. There is no need to worry about unexpected power outages or unforeseen electrical failures causing the lifted material to drop and injure personnel or damage equipment. Therefore, permanent electromagnets are particularly suitable for applications where personnel and equipment safety are critical, offering advantages that conventional lifting electromagnets cannot match.
Because the LEP series eliminates the need for heavy and cumbersome power-off magnetic retention devices, it not only significantly reduces the overall equipment weight — improving crane installation conditions and reducing crane load — but also makes operation and maintenance much more convenient and simpler.
Conventional lifting electromagnets require continuous power during the entire lifting process, resulting in high energy consumption. In contrast, permanent electromagnets only require power for about one second during pick-up and release, consuming only about 5% of the energy of conventional lifting electromagnets. This makes permanent electromagnets ideal for use in the field where power lines cannot reach — conventional lifting electromagnets would be unusable, but permanent electromagnets can operate normally using batteries.
Theoretically ensures reliable operation and long service life.
Simple and reasonable structure, light self-weight, high lifting capacity, and very convenient operation and maintenance.
Low energy consumption — saves more than 95% of energy compared to similar lifting electromagnets.
High-temperature type can operate at temperatures up to 500°C.
1. Suitable Steel Types for Lifting:
a) Single steel plates thicker than 6 mm (plates thinner than 6 mm require special design)
b) Various billets, slabs, large channel steels, I-beams, etc.
c) Various large steel ingots with flat surfaces
d) Scrap steel (not recommended)
2. Temperature Ratings:
a) Standard type: Operating temperature ≤ 80°C
b) High-temperature type: Operating temperature ≤ 500°C
3. Operating Environment:
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
4. Power Supply Options:
a) Used with a control cabinet — suitable for steel plants, shipyards, machinery manufacturing plants, etc., for lifting steel plates, billets, and steel ingots
b) Used with a battery — suitable for scrap handling machines, truck cranes, ships, and other locations where power lines are difficult to access, for lifting steel plates, scrap steel, etc.
