I. Principle & Features

Working Principle: Similar to a steel tape measure, a spiral spring is used as the power source for retracting the cable. When the cable is pulled out, the spiral spring is tightened. When the external force is removed, the reel automatically retracts the cable using the energy stored in the spiral spring, providing good synchronization performance.

1. Voltage Range: Spring-driven cable reels are suitable for voltages below 500V.

2. Classification of Spring-Driven Cable Reels:

   ① By installation method:

   • A: Vertical take-up

   • B: Horizontal take-up (reel moves)

   • F: Suspended take-up

   • C: Horizontal take-up (reel fixed)

   ② By cable length: Available in three series: 15m, 20m, and 25m.

   ③ Special types available upon request:

   • Speed-increase type: Cable length up to 50–60 meters. Often used in applications where the CLQ-I reel is inconvenient to install on electric flat cars.

   • Multi-cable type: One reel accommodates two cables of different specifications.

   • Hose/cable type: For retracting and extending hoses that carry water, air, oil, or other media.

3. Cable Length for the Reel: Approximately L + 2 extra turns reserved on the reel.

4. Cable Take-up/Pay-out Direction: The direction is indicated in the dimensional drawing. If special requirements exist, please specify when ordering.

5. Installation on Single-Beam Cranes with Electric Hoists: If the cable reel is to be used together with a single-beam crane and electric hoist, please specify the specifications of the single-beam section steel used, so that the appropriate roller bracket components can be supplied for easy installation.

IV. Applicable Cables, Equipment, and Operating Conditions

Suitable for horizontal and vertical take-up and pay-out of power supply cables up to 35 mm² and multi-core control cables. Applicable to equipment such as lifting electromagnet magnets, grabs, electric flat cars, and similar operating conditions.
