The CTS, CTN, and CTB series permanent magnetic drum separators are available in two configurations: rotating magnetic field type and fixed magnetic field type.
Fixed Magnetic Field Type: Mainly suitable for wet separation of fine, strongly magnetic materials in weak magnetic fields, or for removing strongly magnetic minerals from non-magnetic minerals. When slurry flows into the magnetic field zone, strongly magnetic minerals are attracted to the drum surface, while weakly magnetic and non-magnetic minerals are separated and discharged. The strongly magnetic minerals adsorbed on the drum surface are carried out of the magnetic field zone as the drum rotates.
Rotating Magnetic Field Type: Suitable for dry separation of fine, strongly (or moderately) magnetic minerals. Due to the high-speed rotation, magnetic particles undergo significantly more magnetic rolling and flipping compared to ordinary magnetic separators. This has a notable effect on breaking magnetic agglomeration and improving the concentrate-to-tailings ratio. After separation, the minerals are divided into magnetic and non-magnetic fractions, each discharged through its respective outlet. This type is suitable for roughing and cleaning of ores with particle sizes ranging from 0.6–6 mm.
Tank Options (for the same drum):
CTS (Concurrent Flow Tank): Suitable for particle sizes ≤6 mm
CTN (Counter Flow Tank): Suitable for particle sizes ≤0.6 mm
CTB (Semi-Counter Flow Tank): Suitable for particle sizes ≤1 mm
