This machine is a top-feed, external-filtration drum-type vacuum permanent magnetic filter, primarily suitable for dewatering relatively coarse, strongly magnetic materials.
A strontium ferrite magnetic system is installed inside the drum, which rapidly attracts magnetic particles to the filter cloth surface. This magnetic filter is mainly used for dewatering coarse, strongly magnetic mineral concentrate slurries. The top-feed design enhances the layering of concentrate particles in the filter cake by particle size. When the magnetic concentrate forms a filter cake, the particles are simultaneously acted upon by gravity and magnetic force. Coarse concentrate particles move toward the filter cloth faster than fine particles, with the coarser particles contacting the filter cloth first. As a result, the filter cake has good air permeability. Additionally, magnetic particles in the slurry are radially distributed on the drum surface under magnetic attraction, and magnetic agitation occurs due to changes in the magnetic field. These favorable conditions make the filter cake easy to dewater, resulting in a thick cake with good air permeability and significantly improved productivity. Compared to conventional drum vacuum filters of the same specification, this machine achieves more than three times higher efficiency.
