The slag channel iron separator is a magnetic separation device specifically designed for installation in metallurgical slag water granulation (water quenching) processing lines. It is used for continuous recovery of ferromagnetic particles from high-velocity flowing slag-water mixtures. The unit is mounted directly above or embedded within the slag channel. Using a high-intensity permanent magnetic field, it efficiently adsorbs and recovers iron particles, iron nuggets, and iron-bearing slag lumps as the slag-water mixture flows through, enabling effective resource recovery and reducing the burden on downstream processes.
Online Continuous Recovery: Installed directly in the slag channel — no additional lifting or conveying equipment required — separation occurs during flow without affecting normal production
High-Intensity Permanent Magnetic Field: Uses high-performance NdFeB permanent magnetic material — high field strength and gradient — effective adsorption of fine iron particles
Wear & Erosion Resistant Construction: Wear-resistant stainless steel or ceramic-lined components in contact with slag-water — effectively resists erosion from high-velocity flow — extends equipment service life
No Power Required: Permanent magnetic design — no external power supply — zero energy consumption — low operating cost — maintenance-free
Flexible Installation: Custom designed based on slag channel width, flow rate, and iron content — can be used singly or in series to suit different conditions
Easy Iron Discharge: Equipped with manual or automatic iron discharge device — periodic cleaning and recovery of iron material — simple operation
Blast Furnace Slag Processing: Recovery of iron particles and nuggets from blast furnace water granulated slag
Steel Slag Treatment: Recovery of iron-bearing particles from steel slag processing
Foundry Waste Sand Processing: Removal of ferromagnetic impurities from waste foundry sand
Other Metallurgical Slag Processing: Iron resource recovery from various metallurgical slag water granulation or wet processing lines
