Working Principle

The disc-type tailings recovery machine consists of five main components: the main unit (magnetic discs), discharge device, collection tank, trough, and frame. The working principle is as follows: the magnetic discs of the main unit are positioned inside the trough. The slurry flows into one end of the trough and passes through the gaps between the discs. Magnetic minerals in the slurry are attracted to the surface of the discs, while the remaining non-magnetic slurry flows out from the opposite end of the trough. As the discs rotate, the magnetic minerals adsorbed on the disc surfaces are carried out of the slurry. When they reach the discharge zone, the discharge device inserted between the discs scrapes the magnetic minerals off the disc surfaces into the collection tank, from which they are collected and discharged.

Equipment Features

1. High Capacity, High Recovery Rate, Low Water Consumption
The composite magnetic system, incorporating magnetic concentration technology, creates deep magnetic field penetration around the discs. With high field strength and high gradient, the recovery capacity is 2–3 times higher than that of similar products in field comparisons.

2. Easy Discharge, No Magnet Wear
The moving magnetic field technology is adopted. Under the combined action of water flushing and the moving magnetic field, the magnetic particles automatically gather and move toward the outer edges of the discs. Since the outer edges of the discs have the same magnetic polarity (either N or S), according to the principle of magnetic repulsion (like poles repel), the scraper can easily remove the magnetic particles while leaving a protective layer on the magnetic surface.

3. Simple Structure, Low Energy Consumption
The machine uses a standard cycloidal pinwheel reducer. No complex speed control system or complicated induction disc discharge device is required. Energy savings of 5%–25% compared to similar products have been achieved. The mechanical structure has been optimized, overcoming common problems such as disc loosening and shaft displacement caused by discharge from the top of the discs. During operation, no mechanical failures need to be anticipated other than regular lubricating oil replenishment and replacement of the scraper rubber plates.

4. Long Service Life
The machine uses NdFeB as the magnetic source, overcoming the shortcomings of traditional recovery machines such as poor corrosion resistance, poor high-temperature resistance, susceptibility to oxidation, and rapid magnetic decay. Through careful research, repeated testing, and successful protective treatment of the high-strength magnets, our technical team has significantly extended the service life of the equipment.
