RCGZ Series Pipeline Self-Discharging Permanent Magnetic Separator – Description

The RCGZ series pipeline self-discharging permanent magnetic separator is a high-performance, automatic magnetic separation device widely used in industries such as cement, power generation, ceramics, brick and tile, chemicals, food, glass, metallurgy, and steel. It is an ideal iron removal solution for material purification and ensuring the safe operation of downstream equipment.

Main applications in the cement industry:

  • Iron removal from coarse powder returned to the mill after the separator (classifier) and from fine powder before entering the mill after pre-crushing of clinker — prevents iron particle accumulation inside the mill, thereby improving mill productivity and the specific surface area of cement

  • Iron removal before the cement packing process — automatically separates and discharges iron contaminants mixed in the cement, ensuring stable production

Key features:

  • Continuous, automatic, and efficient removal of iron impurities from materials

  • High-temperature resistance, strong magnetic force, long service life — no dedicated operator required

  • Mill output increases by more than 15%

  • Wear on steel balls, steel segments, and liners is reduced by more than 20%

  • Iron removal efficiency exceeds 99%

  • Service life of rigid impellers in roller presses and outlet impellers in packing machines is extended by more than 2 times

RCGZ Series Pipeline Self-Discharging Permanent Magnetic Separator – Structural Features

The RCGZ series pipeline self-discharging permanent magnetic separator consists of three main components: the pipeline body, drive unit, and magnetic system operating unit. The drive unit is mounted on the pipeline wall and drives the magnetic system operating unit inside the separation chamber via a sprocket and chain. The permanent magnets discharge ferromagnetic materials mixed in the material stream out of the pipeline through the iron outlet.

Instead of a rotating shell, the magnetic system itself rotates. This design structurally enhances the magnetic separation process. Paired with an optimized separation mechanism, iron contaminants are removed more thoroughly.

Key features:

  • Constructed with high-temperature-resistant, high-strength NdFeB magnetic material — high magnetic field intensity

  • The complete unit is flanged and connected in series with the powder conveying pipeline — easy installation

  • Iron capture and discharge are fully automatic — no dedicated operator required

  • Permanent magnets as the magnetic source — no power consumption for magnetization; low power consumption for slag discharge (small motor drive)

  • Compact structure — stable and reliable operation

★ High-remanence NdFeB as the magnetic source — high iron removal efficiency and long service life
★ Small cycloidal pinwheel geared motor as the power source, with precision roller chain transmission — compact, lightweight, reliable, smooth operation, low failure rate — convenient for users, easy maintenance
★ Reasonable and compact structural design — easy installation — ready for use once connected in series with the material conveying pipeline
★ Continuous and automatic iron removal — no supervision required after start-up
★ Suitable for closed material conveying systems — no dust emission during operation, no environmental pollution
★ Pipeline wall made of special wear-resistant material — significantly extended service life

RCGZ Series Pipeline Self-Discharging Permanent Magnetic Separator – Working Principle

The RCGZ series pipeline self-discharging permanent magnetic separator is connected in series with material conveying pipelines at an inclination angle of 45 to 75 degrees. As material flows through the separator, ferromagnetic impurities are attracted to the stainless steel pipe wall of the separator and gradually slide toward the iron outlet as the permanent magnets move, achieving separation from the material. At the iron outlet, as the permanent magnets move away along their cyclic path, the ferromagnetic impurities lose magnetic attraction and are discharged from the outlet by gravity — completing automatic iron removal.
